STAMFORD — An upcoming event at the Stamford History Center is inviting supporters to turn in gold keepsakes to help raise funds for the organization.
People can bring in their items between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Wednesday, May 29th to Friday, May 31st. Suggested donations include broken or unwanted jewelry, old school rings, or even dental gold. The fundraiser is also accepting sterling silver items, including jewelry and flatware.
An appraiser will review the items to determine their value and provide a check to donors equal to sixty percent of the item’s “melt value.” Thirty percent will be given to the Stamford History Center.
