WESTPORT — The Staples girls basketball team demolished visiting Norwalk High, 83-19, Thursday.

With the win, the Wreckers’ third straight, Staples’ record improves to 4-4.

A dozen Wreckers got on the score sheet, led by Chloe Smith and Sadie Katzner, both with 12 points. Riely Gullans scored 10, Ella Harrington nine, Marley Belzer and Addison Talbott each had eight and Reese Rein added six.

The Wreckers return to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday when they visit Stamford. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest CIAC updates.) — Andy Hutchison
