WESTPORT–Staples field hockey defeated visiting New Canaan 4-3 in overtime on Friday. 

Daisy Hackett scored twice, including the decisive tally as the Wreckers shook off a comeback from 3-0 down by the Rams.

Izzie Schmeiser and Ava Pattinson also scored for the Wreckers and Hackett and Leah Larit both had assists.

Staples was coming off a 9-0 win over host Danbury on Wednesday. Hackett also scored two goals in that win. Emilie Russell, Quinn Lopatin, Pattinson, Leya Chaves, Schmeiser, Chloe Smith and Olivia Lambert also scored. Maya Fridman, Pattinson, Sloane Dearborn and Hackett all had assists.

The Wreckers host Fairfield Ludlowe Monday at 4 p.m.
