WESTPORT–Staples boys tennis followed up a 6-1 season-opening loss at New Canaan on Monday with a 7-0 win over Brien McMahon on Tuesday and a 6-1 victory over Norwalk on Thursday in a pair of home matches.

Against New Canaan, the top doubles team of Kieran Anand and Jonathan Greenspan picked up the lone Staples win, 6-1, 6-0.

In the McMahon match, top singles player Alekos Vergakis prevailed winning the final two matches. Robert Jacob, Anand and Greenspan all won 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles tandems Sebastian Elizondo / Andrew Ridloff; Reid O’Brien / Micah Turner; and Nick Trinchi / Aaron Fortunoff all won 6-0, 6-0 as well.

Against Norwalk, Staples won at second, third and fourth singles as Jack McAuley, Trinchi and Fortunoff all came out on top. Norwalk forfeited all three doubles matches.

Staples visits Stamford Monday at 4 p.m.
