In an important FCIAC match, the Staples boys tennis team defeated Fairfield Warde 5-2 on Friday.

The Wreckers posted their seventh win.

Tighe Brunetti and Matthew Chiang won their singles matches.

Staples swept the doubles matches with a love set by Robbie Daus / Luke Broksky and wins from Brett Lampert / Lucas Ceballos-Cala and Hayden Frey / Jared Even.

Staples next plays Bridgeport Central away this afternoon.
