DARIEN–Unbeaten Darien stretched their boys soccer winning streak to seven games Friday. The Blue Wave improved to 7-0-1 with a 2-1 victory over Staples. The Wreckers fell to 3-1-3.

Darien scored first, on a header off a corner kick. Jaden Mueller equalized for the Wreckers, off a Matthew Genser corner kick. Darien took the lead 22 minutes from time on a breakaway. James Kennedy scored both goals.

Staples is on the road again Tuesday, against another unbeaten team: Fairfield Warde. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
