WESTPORT — Coco Crombie, Evelyn Chudowsky, Ryan Lapatine and Natalie Chudowsky all found the back of the net to help the Staples High girls’ soccer team defeat visiting Wilton 4-1 on Sept. 23.

Natalie Chudowsky, Annabel Edwards, Neva Mermegan and Evelyn Chudowsky recorded assists.

Wilton took an early lead but Staples controlled the game for the most part. It was 1-1 at halftime but three goals in a span of 18 minutes early in the second half helped the Wreckers put the game away.

Coach Barry Beattie’s Wreckers carry a record of 4-0-2 into Wednesday’s visit to Darien at 4:00.
