
WESTPORT–The Building Department issued a permit Monday to demolish the structure at 4 Ferry Lane East.
The 1¾-story cape was built in 1768. It has 2,400-square-feet of living space, a finished basement, a raised basement, a garage, a stone patio, a wood deck, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a half bathroom and a finished half-story.
The property changed hands in March for $1,750,000 and in 1994 for $475,000.
The property’s 2020 assessment is $912,800.
Ferry Lane East is off of Compo Road South.

Ironic, considering the prior owner was a well respected and skilled architect. This neighborhood is transitioning to much larger new homes, which is what Coastal is planning for this lot.
