WESTPORT–The Building Department issued a permit to allow the owners of 17 Sturges Commons to demolish their house.
The 1½-story cape was built in 1946. It has 4,900-square-feet of living space, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a half-bathroom, basement area, crawl space, garage, open porch, enclosed porch, wood deck, finished half-story, finished upper story and inground pool.
The property traded hands in 2023 for $1,890,000. It had previously traded for $590,000 in 1991. The property’s current assessment is $887,200.
Sturges Commons is off of Sturges Highway.
