WESTPORT — As crucial mid-term elections come to a head Tuesday, nearly 20,000 Westport voters are eligible to cast ballots in contests for U.S. Senate and House, governor and other state constitutional offices, General Assembly seats, probate judge and registrar of voters.
Polls are open for voting at 6 a.m. Tuesday until 8 p.m. Any eligible voter standing in line to cast a ballot as of 8 o’clock is allowed to vote.
There are five polling stations where voters from six districts will cast ballots in Tuesday’s elections:
District 1: Saugatuck Elementary School, 170 Riverside Ave. Voters, depending on their address, will cast ballots in either the 136th or 143rd state House of Representatives races.
District 2: Coleytown Middle School, 255 North Ave.
District 3: Long Lots School, 13 Hyde Lane.
Districts 4 and 5: Greens Farms School, 17 Morningside Drive South.
District 6: Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road.
Registered voters unsure of their polling place can use this “look-up tool” on the Secretary of the State’s website.
The main contests on Westport’s ballot include:
