A woman accused of stealing from Ulta Beauty on Post Road East almost two years ago was charged with the crime on Monday, after being picked up by Norwalk Police on other charges.

Anita Felix of Norwalk, 30, was charged with fifth-degree larceny for the Dec. 8, 2023 theft in Westport. When the crime occurred, the cosmetic store’s staff told police that a customer had “filled a shopping basket with various products from the store including cosmetics, fragrances and styling tools,” an announcement from Westport police said. “She then ultimately exited the store without paying for any of the merchandise, leaving the area in a waiting vehicle that had been parked in front of the building.”

The merchandise was valued at $750, police said.

Felix was arrested Sunday in Norwalk and charged by that police department with second-degree forgery in connection with an April 12, 2019, incident. She also was charged with first-degree violation of probation.

Westport police reported to Stamford Superior Court to charge her with the Ulta Beauty larceny.

Felix has not made bail of $25,000 bond and is being held pending an Oct. 22 court appearance, court records show.
