WESTPORT — A 24-year-old man has been charged with second-degree sexual assault in connection with an incident at his home here last summer.

Westport resident Cameron Kassees faces the charge after a man filed a complaint with police stating that during a visit to Kassees’ home last Aug. 1 he was sexually assaulted, police said.

An “extensive investigation” was launched into the complaint, police said, including multiple interviews and the execution of search warrants.

After the investigation was completed, police issued a warrant for Kassees’ arrest.

He turned himself in Jan. 26 at police headquarters.

After posting $2,500 bond, Kassees was released and faces arraignment on the charge Feb. 4 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
