WESTPORT — A 35-year-old Levitt Pavilion concert goer — allegedly “belligerent” and “grabbing” others in the audience — was arrested on several charges this week.
Everald Davis Jr., of North Branford, was charged Aug. 9 with breach of peace and interfering with an officer.
The charges stem from an incident shortly before 8:30 p.m. July 29, during a performance by the band, Twiddle, at the pavilion.
Police were dispatched to the Jesup Road music venue to investigate the report of a disturbance being caused by an unruly concert attendee.
At the scene, officers found Davis “standing on a table, was belligerent with event staff and grabbing onto other guests,” according to the police report.
When an officer tried to escort Davis from the pavilion, he allegedly became combative. He subsequently was taken to a hospital for evaluation out of “concern that he was under the influence of narcotics,” police said.
After a warrant was issued for the arrest of Davis, he turned himself in at Police Department headquarters on Aug. 9.
Davis was released after posting $30,000 bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 19 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
