WESTPORT — A Bridgeport man has been charged with violating a protective order issued in the aftermath of a domestic violence incident in July.

Travis Henry, 27, was charged Oct. 31 with violation of a protective order (family violence).

Police on Oct. 12 initiated an investigation into the alleged violation of “a full no-contact protective order” issued on behalf of a local resident after the earlier incident. The order prohibits Henry from having any contact with the victim.

Investigators, however, determined that Henry “tried to contact the victim via phone and messaging.”

A warrant for his arrest was issued, and he turned himself in Oct. 31 at Police Department headquarters. He was unable to post $75,000 bond and was taken to state Superior Court the next day for arraignment.
