WESTPORT — A 24-year-old man has been charged with vandalizing the McDonald’s restaurant on Post Road East by shattering a window with a rock.

Haggai Lherisson, of Stratford, was charged Aug. 31 with breach of peace and second-degree criminal mischief.

The incident took place shortly before 7 p.m. Aug. 31 when police were called to restaurant by employees who reported that a man broke a window by throwing a rock at the fast-food outlet, 701 Post Road East.

After a description of the suspect was broadcast to patrol units, Lherisson was taken into custody a short distance from the scene, police said.

Lherisson, interviewed by officers, provided no motive for the vandalism, according to the report.

He was held on $2,500 bond and taken the next morning for arraignment at state Superior Court in Stamford.
