WESTPORT — A Norwalk woman faces charges after she threw “large rocks” at another woman on Bridge Street last week, police said.

Victoria Grant, 61, was charged Friday was breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment, according to the report.

Officers were dispatched to Bridge Street about 9 a.m. Friday to investigate a complaint from a woman who said another woman threw stones at her in what she told police was an unprovoked attack. The alleged target of the rock-throwing was not struck, police said.

Grant was apprehended shortly afterward on Compo Road South, police said, based on a description provided by the other woman.

Grant was released on a promise to appear on the charges Aug. 16 at Stamford Superior Court.
