Following is the obituary for KEVIN MASHIA, submitted for his family by the Harding Funeral Home.

Kevin Mashia, 54, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his home.

Kevin was born on July 24, 1968, to Richard and Martha Mashia. He attended Norwalk public schools and Norwalk Community College. Born and raised in Norwalk, he lived for a time in Long Beach, N.Y., before returning home to be closer to his family. 

He began his career at Westport Tile and Design, where he put his creativity and eye for design to work and found his passion. He then moved on to Hastings Tile for 23 years.

Kevin never met a stranger; he made friends wherever he went. He loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. He was loved and respected and will be greatly missed. 

Kevin is survived by his parents, Richard and Martha; his sister, Stephanie; niece, Sydney, as well as a large extended family and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral on Tuesday, June 20, at 10 a.m., in Assumption Church 98 Riverside Ave., for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farms Road. The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, on Monday, June 19, from 4 to 7 p.m.
