WESTPORT — The first cut in state income-tax rates in decades. A 14-day “early voting” period to cast ballots prior to general elections. A state housing bill that may — or may not — be the harbinger of future state mandates. Legislation to strengthen the state’s gun-control regulations.
That’s part of the record compiled by the recently adjourned session of the state’s General Assembly, which will be reviewed next week at a public forum hosted by Westport’s legislative delegation.
The forum will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at the Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road.
Scheduled to participate in what’s called a “wrap-up discussion” about this year’s legislative session are state Sen. Ceci Maher, D-26, and state Reps. Jonathan Steinberg, D-136, and Dominique Johnson, D-143.
