WESTPORT — The summer season is drawing to an end, and with it the number of lifeguards at town beaches is beginning to ebb.
At Burying Hill Beach, lifeguards will be on duty only through Sunday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the Parks and Recreation Department.
At Compo Beach, lifeguards will provide regular coverage through Labor Day — Monday, Sept. 6.
Parking emblems for entry to the beaches are required through Sept. 30.

How about the Longshore pools? Until when will they have lifeguards in duty? And when do the pools close for the season?
