WESTPORT —  A day-long session to register new voters will take place Friday at the Registrars of Voters Office in Town Hall.

New voters can be enrolled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, in Room 107 of Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

Eligibility factors can include new residents in town or those turning 18 years old.

New voters who register with one of the two major political parties will be eligible to cast ballots in the state’s presidential preference primaries April 2, with early voting dates on March 26-28 and March 30.

People whose names have been removed from the voter rolls also can appeal to be restored for eligibility during the session.
