WESTPORT — With snow and icy conditions forecast from early Thursday through afternoon, a public forum Thursday night on conceptual plans for a consolidated public safety complex has been postponed.

The forum, or “charrette,” on the potential project — housing police, fire and EMS services — has been rescheduled to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Westport Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave.

The event will include an architect’s presentation, followed by an opportunity for the public to comment and ask questions.

“With the expected winter weather, we want to ensure that residents, first responders and staff can safely attend and participate in this important discussion,” Fire Chief Nicholas Marsan said in a statement Wednesday afternoon. “We urge everyone to use caution on the roads, avoid unnecessary travel during hazardous conditions, and allow extra time if driving is necessary.”
