
WESTPORT — The host Staples High football team beat Westhill of Stamford 49-0 Friday on Senior Night.
Caleb Smith threw four touchdown passes, three of them to Tyler Clark, who currently holds five offensive records for the Wreckers. James Hillhouse caught one and Preston Norris ran for another score.
In addition to the defense holding the Vikings scoreless, Will Holleman had his third interception in last two games and returned it for a score.
Staples improved to 7-1 for the season, and has scored at least 42 points in four straight games.
The Wreckers next visit Ridgefield at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. The regular season wraps up with a Thanksgiving morning clash when Greenwich visits at 10 a.m. Nov. 24.
