WESTPORT — Registration for children entering kindergarten in Westport public schools for the 2022-23 academic year is underway.

Youngsters who turn five years old on or before Jan. 1, 2023, are eligible to be registered.

Signup forms and more kindergarten information are available at the school district’s registration website.

An informational webinar on the Westport kindergarten program is planned at 9:30 a.m. March 16. A link for the Zoom session will be posted later, according to school officials.

Orientation sessions for parents and guardians of prospective kindergarten students will take place in May at children’s respective schools.

School-specific invitations will be sent to the families of registered children. For those unsure of which elementary school a child will attend, check the school locator website.
