WESTPORT — “Grease is the word,” per the popular 1950s-themed musical-comedy.
But “extra show” are the words appropriate for the Staples Players’ upcoming production of “Grease,” set for this weekend and next.
Due to popular demand, an extra show has been added to the student troupe’s return to full-scale performances for the first time in two years.
That performance will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Staples High School auditorium, 70 North Ave.
Other “Grease” performances are planned at at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13, and again Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19-20. There also will be matinee performances at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, and Saturday, Nov. 20.
Tickets to the Staples Players’ production of “Grease” cost $20 and can be purchased online at staplesplayers.com or in the school lobby 30 minutes prior to performances, subject to availability.
