GREENWICH — In the final installment of its Peopling Greenwich lecture series, the Greenwich Historical Society will explore how women have worked to preserve national heritage.

The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7th. The lecture will discuss how the women of the Holley family made a lasting legacy with a boarding house that housed artists in the Cos Cob artist colony, as well as other examples from throughout the United States of women’s efforts in preservation. Special focus will be given to the work of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America.

The featured speaker is Carol Cadou, executive director and CEO of the Greenwich Historical Society. Her presentation will include highlights from her latest publication, Great American Treasures: Women Preserving History Since 1881.
