WESTPORT — Circle of Care, a nonprofit providing support to families with children who have cancer, will honor a Westport couple at its 20th anniversary gala on June 13.

Westporters April and Michael Book are to be honored for their involvement in Circle of Care programs — April Book has been a Circle of Care volunteer since 2019 and has served on the group’s board of directors the past two years. Michael Book is managing partner at Lenox Advisors, a financial services firm, and Circle of Care sponsor.

Circle of Care’s “Kaleidoscope: Colors of Courage” anniversary gathering is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Loading Dock in Stamford. For more information and to reserve tickets online, click here.

Over the last two decades, Wilton-based Circle of Care has provided “practical, emotional and financial assistance” to children with cancer and their families, which also includes “peer counseling, day-of-diagnosis care packages, dream room makeovers and activities for adolescents and young adults with cancer to connect with each other,” according to the group’s publicity. Its service area includes Connecticut, Westchester, N.Y., and western Massachusetts.
