WESTPORT — A tag sale of memorabilia, costumes and equipment from the Westport Country Playhouse will be on offer at the theater’s Aug. 10 tag sale.

The sale is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Lucille Lortel White Barn next to the playhouse, 25 Powers Court.

Featured will be a range of wardrobe items, show pieces and memorabilia including posters, scripts and props, according to event organizers.

Proceeds will benefit the not-for-profit theater.

Backstage tours planned

Behind-the-scenes tours of the playhouse are planned at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23 and 24.

The tours, limited to 25 participants, will be guided by Bruce Miller, the playhouse archivist. Miller will recount anecdotes from the theater’s history dating to 1931 as the groups visit the stage, dressing rooms, scene shop, wardrobe room, posters, photos, costume designs and set models.
