
WESTPORT — An “Autumn Cabaret” — celebrating the 65th season of the Westport Community Theatre — will be staged Oct. 21 at the Westport Woman’s Club.
The event, featuring jazz singer Melissa Newman and the Phil Bowler Trio, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the clubhouse, 44 Imperial Ave.
The bill also features comedy and appearances by regular WCT performers.
The cabaret marks the group’s return to performances after an 18-month hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tickets are on sale for limited in-person, cabaret-style seating, as well as for live online viewing. Cost is $25 per ticket.

Reservations and proof of vaccination are both required to attend in person, according to community theatre officials. Performers and audience members also must wear masks when not eating or drinking.
Those planning to attend the performance at the club are welcome to bring food and drink of their choosing, the organizers will provide disposable dishes and glasses.
Tickets for those attending in person will be emailed to be shown at the door. Those choosing to watch online will be sent a link for the one-time-only live stream.
