WESTPORT — Water service for about 350 Saugatuck Sh0res area households was disrupted Thursday afternoon when a water main broke on Duck Pond Road.

The break in a 12-inch water main in Duck Pond Road occurred about 1 p.m. Thursday, according to Aquarion Water Co. Customers on about 20 area streets are affected.

Residents may experience no water, low pressure or discolored water until repairs are completed.

Aquarion repair crews are on the scene, but full service is not expected to be restored until 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, according to a message from the town’s Emergency Management Team.

In addition to Duck Pond Road, streets affected by the break are: 

Bermuda Road, Blue Chip Lane, Bluff Point, Canal Road, Cockenoe Drive, Conte Place and Covlee Drive.

Also, Island Way, Madeline Avenue, Marine Avenue, Marsh Court, Minard Drive, Nassau Road and Norport Drive.

And Plover Lane, Promised Road, Rowland Place, Sandpiper Road, Scofield Place, Sea Spray Road, Spriteview Avenue, Surf Road and Swallow Lane.
