“Covering the Trump Administration,” a June 1 program co-sponsored by the Y’s Men of Westport/Weston and the Westport Library, will feature discussion from media, political and education perspectives.

WESTPORT — The surprising, sometimes tumultuous, first 100 days of Donald Trump’s second presidential administration, and the challenges posed to media coverage, will be explored by a June 1 panel discussion at the Westport Library.

The free “Covering the Trump Administration” program, co-sponsored by the Y’s Men of Westport/Weston and the Westport Library, will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the library, 20 Jesup Road. To reserve a seat, click here.

Panelists will include: U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, D-4; Alisyn Camerota, author, blogger and formerly with CNN and Fox News; former First Selectman Jim Marpe; Rebecca Surran, a News 12 anchor, and Aaron Weinstein, an assistant professor of politics at Fairfield University.

The discussion, moderated by John Brandt, a past Y’s Men president, will focus on the often-contentious relations between Trump and his top administrators with mainstream media, as well as the panelists’ different perspectives on how to navigate the adversarial relations. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
