Town X-Mas Tree Brightens Friday Night …

WESTPORT — Charged by the sounds of the Staples High School Orphenians, the town’s official Christmas tree was sparked Friday night in front of Town Hall.

First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker had her first official turn at the switch, illuminating the enormous fur tree standing in front of Town Hall.

Around 100 people came out to the event, which marks the official start of the Christmas season in Westport.
