“Stand By Me,” scheduled to be shown Monday night at the Remarkable Theater Drive-In, has been postponed to Sept. 3.

WESTPORT — Monday night’s scheduled screening of “Stand By Me,” a classic coming-of-age drama, has been postponed by the Remarkable Theater Drive-In.

The threat of inclement weather prompted theater officials to reschedule the film to 7:45 p.m. Sept. 3. The movie, based on a Stephen King novella, was released in 1986 and directed by Rob Reiner.

Remarkable Drive-In movies, screened at 50 Imperial Ave., benefit the organization’s goal of opening a non-profit movie theater in downtown Westport that will employ people with disabilities.

Tickets can be purchased at the Remarkable Theater’s website:  remarkabletheater.org

The theater’s next attraction is:

Aug. 30: “The Graduate,” a 1967 film about a young man’s attempts to navigate life and love after college. The iconic movie received seven Academy Award nominations and is rated PG. It will be screened at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:30.
