WESTPORT — The fireworks show that traditionally lights up Westport’s skies for Independence Day is scheduled Tuesday, July 2. 

Tickets are on sale now for entry to the Compo Beach celebration, sponsored by the Westport Police Athletic League. Cost is $50 per vehicle.

Admission to the beach that evening is by ticket only, and they can be purchased at Police Department headquarters, 50 Jesup Road, or at the Parks and Recreation Department office in Longshore Club Park, 260 Compo Road South. Cash or checks only are accepted.

Rain date for the fireworks is Wednesday, July 3.
