STAMFORD — Celebrating nine decades since its founding, the Stamford Museum & Nature Center will host a special celebration this weekend.
The museum will offer a full day of programming, free snacks, and animal encounters on Saturday, June 27th. Admission will be discounted to $9 for non-members. Every 90th visitor entering the grounds in the leadup to Saturday will receive a surprise.
The regularly scheduled Stamford Skies planetarium shows at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. will showcase the night sky as it would have appeared to the museum’s founders in 1936. Planetarium tickets are sold separately from general admission.
The museum says the event is “designed as a thank you to the community; the backbone of the organization, sustaining 90 years of inspiration, discovery and learning.”
