“Minions” will be screened Monday and “Girls Trip” on Wednesday at the Remarkable Drive-In.

WESTPORT — Two comedies light up the big screen at the Remarkable Drive-In this week.

“Minions” will be screened Monday and “Girls Trip” is on tap Wednesday.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Remarkable Theater’s goal of opening a nonprofit movie theater in downtown Westport that will employ people with disabilities.

The drive-in screen is located in the parking lot at 50 Imperial Ave.

“Minions,” Monday, Aug. 15: Kevin, Stuart and Bob, three yellow capsuled-shaped creatures, improbably become ensnared in a criminal plot of staggering ambition, in this computer-generated comedy.

A stellar cast of actors voice the characters, including Sandra Bullock, John Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney and Steve Coogan.

The PG-rated movie is a late addition to the Remarkable’s initially planned summer schedule.

It will be shown at 8 p.m., doors open at 7 o’clock.

“Girls Trip,” Wednesday, Aug. 17: Four longtime friends reconnect during a raucous visit to New Orleans.

Leading the cast of the 2017 comedy are Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The movie, rated R, will be shown at 8:15 p.m., doors open an hour earlier.
