WESTPORT — Live Girl Confidence Club, a program designed to help instill girls’ self-assurance and leadership skills, will resume meeting Oct. 6 at Toquet Hall.
The program, open to middle-school girls in fifth through eighth grades, will take place weekly from 3:45 to 5 p.m. through the week of Nov. 29 at the hall, 58 Post Road East. There is no charge.
The nonprofit’s “mission is to prepare the next generation of diverse, brave female leaders with the skills, community, and connections so that all girls may thrive and make a positive impact on the world,” according to a Live Girl press release.
This fall, the group’s focus will be on pandemic-related mental heath and resilience, according to organizers.
The small group will meet weekly with a professional mentor to share concerns and interests. The curriculum-based program also “builds social emotional intelligence and self-esteem, the building blocks of a confident leader,” the release says.
