WESTPORT — Lingering power outages are unwelcome guests early Monday after a blustery rain storm capped the four-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

About 3,700 total outages were being reported by Eversource across its entire customer base at 4 a.m. Monday, with 21 Westport customers lacking service.

Scattered outages also were reported in nearby towns, with 80 in Wilton and 49 in Weston, but none in Norwalk and Fairfield (most customers in the latter town are serviced by United Illuminating).

The storm moved across the region Sunday night, with periodically heavy rain and gusty winds that ended a three-day stretch of fair weather that enveloped Thanksgiving Day, Friday and Saturday.

After skies clear later Monday morning, clear conditions should return to the region over the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunny skies should prevail at least through Thursday — with high temperatures in the 40s — with the next chance for precipitation Friday afternoon into Saturday morning, the NWS predicts.
