WESTPORT — With winds clocked at over 50 mph, propelling rainfall throughout the night, Westport has more than 160 power outages this morning.

According to data from the energy company Eversource, 162 Westport customers, out of a total of 12,655, have no service as of 6 a.m. Friday.

The number of outages being reported in Westport is much higher than those in neighboring communities — fewer than four have lost power in Weston, and none reported in Wilton, Fairfield and Norwalk.

The region remains under a “Wind Advisory” through 10 a.m. this morning, issued by the National Weather Service.

Meanwhile, rain is expected to taper off by about 11 a.m. today as temperatures rise to a high in the mid-50s before declining to the 30s by sunset.

There is a 50 percent chance of snow showers at midday Saturday, with temperatures in the mid-30s under cloudy skies, according to the NWS.
