WESTPORT — The second night of Hanukkah was observed with community spirit Monday night when the Schneerson Center of Westport and Beth Israel Chabad of Norwalk held its annual menorah lighting.

Music, dance and a few treats were shared at the event at 400 Post Road East, on the south side of the street between Wells Fargo and Trader Joe’s.

“As it’s very cold outside, lighting the menorah will warm our hearts,” noted Rabbi Eli Stone.

The Festival of Lights continues through the evening of Dec. 6, with another community menorah lighting taking place downtown on Wednesday evening, Dec. 1, at 5:30 p.m. in Needle Park at the corner of the Post Road and Main Street.
