WESTPORT — An “Artist Market,” offering creative accents for the holiday season, will be sponsored Dec. 10 by the Westport Farmers Market.

The special event, featuring unique and hand-crafted merchandise by more than 25 area artists and artisans, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the farm market’s winter quarters, Gilbertie’s Herbs & Garden Center, 7 Sylvan Lane.

The holiday market will take place in three open-air greenhouses, while carolers entertain shoppers. The Oar & Oak food truck, overseen by chef Dan Kardos, is scheduled to be on hand, while Bubble & Brew will offer hot and cold beverages.

“Local artisans complement our mission of supporting local. The artistic talent in our area is immense and we like to celebrate it,” Lori Cochran-Dougall, the farmers market executive director, said in a publicity release for the event.
