WESTPORT — The Westport Transit District is rolling out a thank-you for passengers using its recently updated Wheels2U Westport app to schedule service:

Free rides, from Monday through Friday, May 20-24.

During that period, the standard $2 fare per ride will be waived for the on-demand shuttle buses to and from the town’s railroad stations.

Transit District officials remind Wheels2U patrons that the ride-booking app was updated March 26, and if they downloaded the app prior to that date, it needs to be updated.

Riders who need to update a pre-existing app will be prompted through the process after logging in.

Wheels2U Westport buses provide weekday morning pickups to or from the Saugatuck and Greens Farms train stations between 5:45 and 10 a.m.

In the evenings, rides are available to or from the rail depots between 4 and 9:30 p.m.
