The “Farm Friends for Ukraine” initiative to collect medical supplies for people in the eastern European nation has been organized by three area farms.

WESTPORT — Three farms are banding together to harvest support for relief efforts to help people in war-torn Ukraine.

Wakeman Town Farm, joined by Ambler Farm in Wilton and Lachat Town Farm in Weston, have organized a grassroots alliance to collect medical supplies that will be shipped next week to the eastern European nation under attack from Russia.

Program organizers say donors can arrange to have the supplies shipped directly to one of the farms, or goods can be dropped off by 1 p.m. Friday, March 18, in order to be included in the shipment to Ukraine.

Wakeman Town Farm is accepting medical supplies mailed to its address at 134 Cross Highway, Westport, CT 06880, or unboxed goods can be deposited in bins at the farm entrance at 1 Wakeman Drive.

Ambler Farm is at 257 Hurlbutt Street, Wilton, CT 06897, and Lachat Town Farm is at 106 Godfrey Road West, Weston, CT 06883.
