WESTPORT — This weekend of fall fun at two seasonal events will help harvest funds for Earthplace. Both autumnal celebrations take place at the nature center, 10 Woodside Lane.

“Woodside Bash,” featuring dinner, drinks and music “under the stars” for adults, is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. Tickets cost $135 per person; register here.

“Fall Festival,” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, will offer a range of family activities, from visits to the Earthplace animal menagerie to harvest-themed games. Tickets cost $10 for children and $5 for adults; they are being sold in advance and at the door.

At the Saturday evening “bash,” dinner will be prepared by Harbor Harvest, plus there will be an open bar, a signature cocktail, a bonfire and dancing to music performed by the band Pimpinella. And, event planners say, a mechanical bull.

On Saturday, the “festival” showcases a host of games and seasonal activities such as hay rides, pumpkin bowling, doughnuts on a string, visiting resident animals, an apple sling shot, diving into a corn-filled pool, a climbing wall and food trucks.

Money raised at both events will support Earthplace’s wildlife and nature sanctuary, as well environmental, science and nature programs, scholarships to its pre-school and animal care.
