FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Museum and History Center is inviting visitors to take part in a day of service next week to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The museum says guests of all ages can participate in a range of projects between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19th. These include:

  • Making messages to be distributed through Cards for Hospitalized Children or to sent to senior citizens through Letters Against Isolation
  • Creating milk jug greenhouses for native plants with Sustainable Fairfield and Fairfield Pollinator Pathway
  • Making birdseed ornaments to feed birds during the winter
  • Dropping off donations for Operation Hope and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission
