WESTPORT — A crowd gathered downtown Wednesday evening to light a community menorah for Hanukkah.
The crowd’s voices joined as one with Cantor Luis Cattan of The Conservative Synagogue as he played music and Bill Mitchell lit the menorah.
As many sang along and danced to the songs, doughnuts were passed out, as per tradition, according to Rabbi Yehuda Kantor of Chabad Lubavitch.
Children danced with their families. The evening concluded with warm, wide smiles and well wishes to everyone.
