WESTPORT–Westport Country Playhouse will host its 2nd Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser at Birchwood Country Club, on Monday, July 21. Proceeds from the full-day event will benefit the Playhouse.
Birchwood Country Club has 83 acres of rolling countryside, providing a challenging and beautiful nine-hole layout. When playing 18 holes, several sets of tees offer different angles and look for players of all skill levels. The original Orrin Smith design features tightly cut fairways lined by dense rough and velvet-bent grass used on the putting surface.
At the Playhouse tournament, players will have the option to play nine or 18 holes in a scramble format. Other features of the fundraiser include:
- Access to driving range and putting green
- Lunch
- Cocktails
- On-course drinks
- Awards ceremony
- Access to locker room and facilities
- Entry into long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests for both men and women
- Chance to win a new Callaway driver
- Playhouse prizes include tickets, Encore Club memberships, Playhouse concession credit
Tournament schedule:
- 7:30 a.m. registration, driving range and putting green open
- TBD–Morning shotgun start
- Noon–buffet lunch
- TBD–Afternoon shotgun start
- 5:00 p.m.–Cocktail reception
- 5:30 p.m.–Winners and prizes announced
Pricing:
- Individual 9-hole: $295
- Foursome 9-hole: $1,100
- Individual 18-hole: $395
- Foursome 18-hole, $1,500
