WESTPORT — Brochu Walker, a California-based women’s clothier featuring what it calls “conscious luxury” merchandise, opened its second retail store at 139 Main St. last month.

“I have been wanting to open a store on the East Coast and when I visited Connecticut last summer, I just fell in love with New England and especially Westport,” Karine Dubner, Brochu Walker’s owner, said in a statement announcing the local shop’s opening. “The historical architecture, the water views, the magic of the ever-changing seasons just spoke to me.”

Brochu Walker, according to the publicity release, is known for knitwear, dresses and pre-layered “Looker” sweaters, as well as shoes and accessories.

The Westport store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 203-489-0759.
