NEW HAVEN — The Yale Repertory Theatre has announced its 2026-2027 season, including two world premieres and reimagined classics.

Yale Rep recently announced the new season, which will begin in October. The productions will be overseen by Evan Yionoulis, the artistic director who will begin her tenure on July 1st.

The full season features five plays, including:

  • August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, running from Oct. 2nd to 24th
  • The Soho Rep Production of Watch Me Walk, running from Nov. 14th to Dec. 5th
  • The world premiere of Electra America, which was commissioned by Yale Rep and will run from Jan. 14th to Feb. 6th
  • Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, running from March 5th to 27th
  • The world premiere of Quisqueya on the Hudson, running from April 23rd to May 15th
