
WESTPORT — Tickets for this year’s third “Stars-on-Tour” concert at the Levitt Pavilion — featuring the rhythm-and-blues band, Tower of Power — are on sale now.
The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4. It will take place rain or shine.
Tickets for the general public go on sale at noon Friday, April 22; click here. Tickets for Levitt members went on sale earlier; membership includes early access to Stars-on-Tour events, as well as discounts. To become a Levitt member for 2022, click here.
Proceeds from ticket sales to the Stars-on-Tour concerts help underwrite the nonprofit Levitt’s season of free concerts and year-round operations.
Tower of Power has been performing rhythm-and-blues, soul and funk for more than 50 years, according to concert organizers.
The group is expected to perform music from its latest album, “Step Up,” as well as hits from its repertoire, including, “What Is Hip?,” “Soul with a Capital S,” “You’re Still a Young Man” and “So Very Hard to Go.”
In addition to their own music, Tower of Power has performed with other artists such as Otis Redding, Elton John, Santana, the Grateful Dead, John Lee Hooker, Aerosmith and Bonnie Raitt.
