NEW CANAAN — Set to open on Valentine’s Day, a new exhibition at the Silvermine Arts Center celebrates love as an “active, generative force that heals, connects, uplifts, and transforms.”
The Power of Love will debut with an opening reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14th. The exhibition will run through March 13th.
The artists in the exhibition have created both realistic and abstract art across a full range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and assemblages. Individual pieces include Miggs Burrough’s lenticular photo “Entwined” honoring a couple’s 50th anniversary, Derek Uhlman’s 3-D printed sculpture “First Kiss,” and abstract paintings from Corinne Lapin-Cohen and Jennifer Moné Hill.
